Dry sharpening on a wet sharpener?

Are there any new kinds of diamond, or any kind of wheels, that can be used on a wet sharpener but dry? While i love the results of a wet sharpener, they are messy.

Bill, on one of the Australian Forums there is a thread talking about using CBN, 250mm, I.E. 10 inch wheels on a Tormek, so they are available,

Bill I can't see any reason it won't work. The CBN wheel that I have doesn't clog up but I mostly use it for HSS turning tools. I still have an AO wheel on the other side of my grinder to use on rough grinding any carbon steel. It probably won't cut as fast as a regular grinder as it turns slower. The only residue I get is some black powder and it doesn't stick to the wheel.
