    I made one of these

I have no idea what this is. 18" tall. Only holds 1 cup of whatever.
    Totally impractical.

    So it must be art.

And if it is art, I should have taken better pictures.

Half yard of Ale. In the 'olden days' of horse drawn carriages, the driver stayed in his seat when stopping at inns. He would be served using elongated goblets refered to as a 'yard of ale' due to their length.

make a stopper, add some dried beans, you have a "native" rattle

you could then put up sign in front yard declaring nov 10 as holiday, open whether or not federal government is open

    rattle on

Add a few batteries, a switch, and a bulb, and you could have a beautiful custom wood flashlight.

Nov 10th is already a holiday to some of us. I can say I never made a better one of those, maybe it's a scepter.

I could send it with my son to Renaissance Faire and he could make up a story about a torch / cup / battle-thumper.
