This is a pretty cool idea. I expect he is using a commercial lawn mower drive system for the gas model.......22 hp hydrostatic drive.
Now that I"m retired I wonder if I could get a permit to operate one of these on the boardwalk at Virginia Beach? It would be a tough job riding up and down the boardwalk all day long in the Summer
