Car top carrier for Chevy Equinox

Kicking around the idea adding a car top carrier to a 2013 Chevy Equinox. Take a 4 hr (one way) road trip once or twice a year so not looking to spend a lot $$$$.
I looked online what looked like the same as the OEM from Chevy but mfg said you have to remove the antenna. What good is that on a trip???
Anyone have any ideas. What do I need to know , How secure are they, Any and all info Welcome.

Found this at Sears. Price is right and I am ok with the U bolt type mount.

If you have a hitch receiver on the back of your Equinox, you can use a carry-all attached to that for carrying extra luggage. I bought one from Northern Tool while on vacation this summer to get more room inside my vehicle for the people. It also is more fuel efficient not having something up on top and there are less weight constraints. These carriers can typically handle up to 500 lbs.
