    Laser engraving a ceramic knife

Anyone tried engraving a ceramic knife with a CO2 laser?

A potential customer contacted me about lasering some ceramic knives. I will get a sample piece to test the engraving on, but would like to hear from someone in the creek before trying out the engraving.

    So, anyone?

    You'd have better luck with a YAG/fiber...

That's what I told my customer who just stopped by... But I'll test the blade / handle just to make sure.

    Thanks Dan!

Yup, as Dan said, a YAG-laser would do the job better. I engraved the handle and the customer was quite pleased with the result though.
