Very nice piece, I admire your accomplishment. I know what a challenge it is to hollow this type of form, especially one this large.

Very nice work, the form and the spalting work well together. I also like the inlaid keys (I call them butterfly); their color goes with the spalting nicely.

to be honest, I must admit that hollowing is not to the edge
problem of tool's design and the narrowness of the mouth

I've tried to modify a Stewart tool in the way seen in the picture

but the working tip is not in line with the shaft. Consequently you get a very uncomfortable torque...
I'll modify further and follow the results

One could open the hole up more and then add a collar or split the piece while still in block , turn both sides then glue back together .... but that'd be cheating eh ?
