    Santa Clause carving and elf

    Finally finished this years santa carving,also made some hard maple end grain cutting boards.Kinda cutting it close this years with hand made gifts.I am usually get done sooner

    Those figures are too cute, Andrew. Is that flocking on the elf or cloth ? I'm guessing Santa's robe is cloth.

    Thanks guys,the little elf is woolie material from a craft store Micheals,the Santa is bass wood and paint form the same store.

    Dignified ,yet whimsical. Super uniform. I don't think I would have gotten much of that beard done without deciding "perhaps cotton balls would be faster" . Real nice.

    Very cool. I wish I could carve. I've tried it but I seem to do better building little scale model wooden vehicles. Your work is outstanding!

    Nice job Andrew! I really like both the detail/execution and the style. Very creative and quite well done.
    Did you use a pattern or just work f/ picture etc?

    Thanks Mike , I did have a pic to work from the design is not mine.Next year in October I start a new one maybe come up with a original.This was number seventeen I should take a pic with them all together every year seems like I try to remember how I did this or that.
