Is it fair to not honor a advertised price on a tool company website?

Michael,

Your first thread was removed because you called out a company publicly based on a simple disagreement. It was unfair to do so.
In spite of your first thread being removed you started this one to continue pushing your side of the issue. You certainly are entitled to your view and there is merit to your position but it is a severe punishment for an inadvertent error made by a company who was trying to offer a discount to woodworkers.

Most of the people who have responded in this thread understand all to well how powerful the information provided at The Creek is and how detrimental it can be to a company who is chastised publicly here. It is important that we are responsible with the influence we have acquired and not abuse the clout this Community has earned, it is a very big sword we posses here and it can easily destroy a business. In that light I hope you will take the criticism you have received as constructive in nature and not an attack on you personally.
