    Personalized lettering

I have a few signs I am looking to make for some family that are expecting newborn children. I love these signs, but always do them carved with my cnc router, however sometimes the stenciled look is nice. I have always wanted to try this. Does anyone know how these are done? To me it looks like they are vinyl stencils cut on a vinyl printer/cutter, and spray painted. Any tips would be great. I have included a couple ones I saw on etsy from various sellers doing the same type of lettering.

    Thanks!

Sounds like you're on the right track with the stencils. I would think the hobby stores would have metal ones or maybe find some online that would hold up better with the paint.
