    aerosol sprays

A company near me features Mohawk products on its website. Aerosols are prominent, toners, final coats, etc. As I don't have a HVLP or other sprayer, I'm interested. I realize the need to do such spraying outdoors on a calm day, but ask if I might expect a neater and easier finish on the boxes I make compared to using a brush. Any advocates? dissatisfied former users?

Bruce, I repair and build furniture for a living, I own eight spray guns that never get used, I do virtually all finishing with aerosol cans from Mohawk. Here is a link to the first of two posts I wrote on using rattle cans.

    Just remember with aerosol cans......

When you're done using one, turn the can upside down and spray until nothing but "air" comes out.
Then wipe the wet material off the tip.

Do that and a can will last for years...
