I donated one of my maple bowls to Empty Bowls fundraiser this past weekend. My bowl went into the Silent Auction portion of the event. This event, even though its the same time every year, always sneaks up on me! I had another bowl that I was planning on submitting - a nice crotch piece of Ash? that had beautiful feathering .... that bowl was the first one that ever exploded on me. I think that tree was a victim of windshake based on the fracture.
So, I sent this basic little maple bowl to them and got them a few bucks for the Soup Kitchen!
