After I built my bench I used the gap-stop for awhile to house chisels but got tired of them falling over and having to hunt for the right size by picking them up.
I made the rack from one piece of German beech. The mortises were drilled out and squared with chisels and a small file.
Thought split-top bench owners may appreciate this. It will fit any of the longer sections of the stop on my bench. Small brackets could be made to hang the rack in a cabinet or on a wall.
