    David Elsworth

Myself and 4 other turners from the endless mountain turners had a great 3 day weekend with David Elsworth turning at his shop in Quakertown Pa.
If you ever get the chance to do this it is great, He and Wendy his wife are very friendly, helpful and great cooks! Going with turners you know and know each others ability was great! We all have been turning for a long time and this was a great help with design and tool control.
Well done David I would highly recommend this class to all from basic to advanced turners.

Our club has David for two days, one day-long demonstration and one day hands on training for about six of us. I would love the opportunity to spend a long weekend, or full week with him.
Retired - when every day is Saturday (unless it's Sunday).

I just checked out his video "The Ellsworth Signature Gouge" from my club's library and am really impressed with the quality of the video and his instructions.

My home club, The Minnesota Woodturners Association, had David Ellsworth as a demonstrator back in 2003. Very entertaining, enlightening and educational. He also did small group sessions for club members on the Friday and Sunday around the Saturday demo. Photo taken for our club newsletter:

Our Club has David for a workshop on April 25th. The Class of 10 filled up in one day. We are looking forward to that.

Is this what David teaches? And here I've been riding side saddle this whole time!

It helps to be as tall as Ellsworth with long legs as well.

David only straddles the lathe when it has a fixed headstock. He has Robust American Beauty's in his studio and he slides the headstock down and stands normally when he teaches hollow forms there. If you haven't had a class with David at his studio, I highly recommend it.
