Re-purposing the Incra router fence

I have the Incra LS positioner and fence on a router table that I no longer use. I may acquire an old table saw that has an antique fence which is less than ideal (to put it gently). I was thinking of adapting the Incra fence to the saw. Based on this saw it is feasible for sure, at least mechanically/physically speaking. Aside from initially and carefully setting the positioner up to be parallel to the blade and mounting a sacrificial piece of MDF to safeguard the aluminum bits am I overlooking something? It's a great fence with repeatability to spare. It's long enough and if I play my cards right, I *may* be able to install a router on the table and have the best of both worlds; saving some real estate space by purging the old dedicated router table the fence is currently on. I can't see any reason not to go down this path but it doesn't mean there isn't one - I just don't see it. What am I overlooking with this idea?

Very possible. Incra even sells a table saw conversion kit with rails and carriage that (in my mind) would be safer than clamping a mounting board to the saw table. I sure wouldn't want my rip fence to self-adjust in the middle of a cut.

I have the Incra fence on my TS/RT station, it works great. Just be aware that it takes up a lot of room to the right of the saw when ripping wide stock.

I have mine on a rolling cabinet that I just pull away from the wall when ripping wide:

Thanks Bill; I wish I had that fence! I have the router table version (does not have the front or rear rails). I was concerned with lateral movement. However a test last night with the smallish work that I do gives me the feeling it will work ok.
