    Epilog helix 40 watt

I just bought an epilog helix 40 watt and it call for 650 cfm for the exhaust. I have a exhaust that max out at 550 is that enough or should I buy one that puts out the 650? Any help would be appreciated.

Josh a lot will depend on what you are using it for. Anything that smokes heavily, a lower cfm might not be able to exhaust the fumes out fast enough. On some materials, it can be hazardous and good ventilation is essential, it won't make the laser work any differently but if the exhaust stuff is not expelled it may settle on your lens'. If it says 650cfm in the manual, use 650cfm!

Further to the last - also posted on another question you upped about the same thing

From the Helix manual which can be downloaded from Epilog website.
All Epilog model 8000 laser systems require an exhaust fan that is rated
at a minimum of 400 CFM at 6” of static pressure 680 M3 /hr. at 150 mm of static
    pressure.
