    Razor Set in Spalted Maple

After doing tons of stuff for either other people or for sale, I decided to do something for ME. I had a few pieces of lightly figured spalted maple cut offs from some bowls I recently turned and make a razor set for myself. I may or may not turn a 'soap cup' as I have never ever used puck soaps or brushes before. Thanks for looking comments/critques are always welcome!!

Sweet! These kinds of items fetch a premium price in catalogs like Caswell-Massey (which, BTW, has a pretty nice line of mug soaps). I use a wooden bowl for travel and a ceramic mug ("Submarine Service - Shave like a sailor") at home, but neither is as nice as what you've shown here. The convenience of the canned stuff is great, but you can't beat a hot lather!

That is one GREAT looking shaving set. I would love to have one of those. I think I'll look around for good pricing on the components.

Seven days without turning makes one weak.
