    Waiter style corkscrew kit

I've tried to find a bare waiter style corkscrew. I would then put on my own scales. There are
lots of places to get T-style kits but none have a the waiter style. (These are similar to pocket knives with a blade for cutting the foil and a leveraged mechanism for removing the cork. They are actually much more common and easier to use than the T-style.)

I've thought of buying a complete one and dismantling it but I'd rather not.

anyone know where to get the kit or bare hardware?

    Jim,
Well I took your challenge and am defeated. I figured that one of the knife making supply houses would have something, but nada. Please post if you find one, as I'd be interested as well.

I also struck out but found this interesting video:

I don't think you'd want to buy a $200 corkscrew to rip the scales off though .
