Epilog Legend 32 manual firing device?

I remember hearing once upon a time about a plug-in box to manually fire the beam in an old Legend engraver, for quicker and simpler beam alignment. Does anyone know anything about these? Are they floating around still? Can I somehow build my own? I have to align my laser frequently, probably because of temperature fluctuations in the garage, and this seems like a great time saver.

They can be purchased from Epilog for $175.00. They call it an alignment tool, I have one and it is very handy.
