    Waterproof blower

Sometimes we come across unique things and I thought I'd share...

This is a waterproof 3"/4" blower than runs from 12/24vdc and outputs 135/235 CFM for under $40 USD.

Maybe you want to wire a blower internally to your laser.
Maybe you need a mini blower to help dry paint/finishes.
Maybe you need added airflow to a certain area/room.

12/24 Volts DC, where are you getting the power source from? Looks like 4.3 amps at 12 volts with a 7 amp fuse.

These are bilge blowers. They might work okay, but they're not intended or built for long-term use. In a laser fume evac environment, I'd bet a buck you won't get 6 months use out of one.

Spot on Kev. Continuous duty motors are more expensive for a reason...they are made to last when used all day.

Plus an axial design will not work near as well as a centrifugal design in applications where ducting is used (too much pressure). Bilge blowers when in a boat are typically installed with a few feet of flexible hose on the output side so they get away with it. Ducting on both intake and output side as used in a laser evacuation system will decrease their already low CFM.

Oh, and I use Adobe Illustrator with an Epilog Mini.
