    Sorry to report that David Nittmann, one of the top wood artists in the world, passed away on Wednesday evening, Aug. 13 at his home in Boulder, Colo., after a long bout with cancer.
    David gained fame for his basket illustration pieces. He and partner Cindy Drozda were regulars at all of the AAW symposiums as well as doing demos at clubs around the world.

    Sad news, I enjoyed the rotations I attended presented by him at Totally Turning, and appreciated his enthusiasm.

    Sad news. I had the pleasure of seeing his demo and speaking to him offline. Very nice person.
    He will be missed.
