    Power sharpening carbide tips

I found this while looking at CBN wheels.

I've only sharpened carbide cutters on a diamond plate on a bench but here's another approach. I'll try this but I think I'll use a rare earth magnet as a handle on the diamond plate rather than risk my fingers.

Might work OK but it looks like a good way to mess up a diamond stone.

Trend has a video oout claims it only takes a few swipes to sharpen. This only works on the flat topped style, not the Hunter cup style which is the only type I currently own, though my grandson has a set of the Easy Wood starter tools. .

I just do it by hand also. I think that gets the job done as well as anything. It doesn't take much to get them sharp.
