What to do with old golf clubs...

I decided to make wall coat racks out of my old junk irons and some wood woods I found in my neighbor's junk pile. I gave the irons to my boys for Christmas and they will use them to hang their ball caps. I had some rotten and wormy cherry boards and decided to use them on this project, although my wife convinced me to use the best parts . Finish on the cherry is BLO - amber shellac - EM6000. The woods were in bad shape - I cleaned them up, used Old English to even the color, polished the brass with Barkeepers Friend, and added a coat of wax to add a bit of shine. I also cleaned the irons with a brush and polished with Barkeepers.

You could sell those to the local golf shop. How are the heads attached and how do you keep them from turning?

Epoxy, a hole the exact diameter of the shaft (in 64ths), and a tight fit. Of course they were all different sizes We'll see if it holds up.

I've often considered buying clubs at yard sales for the steel , but felt bad about removing them from circulation.

    Next time l won't.
