    first piece for 2015

    This was turned near the end of 2014 but was not dry enough to sand and finish until Jan 1st. American Elm about 9 inches diameter, thickness is 1/4", finished with WOP. It is sitting on a short piece of PVC pipe in the picture. Comments and critiques welcome.

    Nice piece Dennis. I like the shape, the natural edge top and the variation in the color of the wood. Good first piece.

    Well done, nice looking shape. From the pic, the white must be the sap wood.
