Thread: Plane iron camber?

    Simple explanation - if you choose to use camber, then camber about the same amount as the thickness of the shaving you expect to take. That way you use the whole width of the iron and don't leave deep plane tracks.

    I camber all my bench plane irons except my 8 for the same purpose the Bob Glen mentioned.
