DC question

Ok, I'm not sure how to term this so there may be a thread out there already. I'm trying to design a new DC system and wondering if you have a long run off your main trunk with a blast gate on the end and it's shut, does that negate that whole run as far as taking away from the rest of the system?

It won't make any difference where in the line your blast gate is- at the take off from the trunk, or at the end. The end result is the same: there's no air flow through that branch, so no contribution to degrading performance in your system.
