Engraved Lighter - Owls are cool

I haven't done a lighter in a while so I had a bit of fun today.
photo-1.jpgThis is a really inexpensive lighter which I engraved using the diamond drag bit. 0.05" depth.
It really makes a cheap lighter better. I'll be interested to see how it oxidizes over time.
Sorry it's not a perfect picture but it's difficult to get good pictures of shiny metal from a phone.
    Cheers!

Very nice work! Can you tell me the process of this engraving? Is it like using a router but using with a engraving tool?

    Hello Ed,
Yes it it using the router - but mostly as a holder. It is not on. It simply holds the diamond drag bit which is spring loaded.
Here is a video that shows one in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXnVWrkl1xE
