I had a electrostatic filter on my furnace at my other house and didn't think it was as efficient as a 4" pleated filter. I have a jet system in the middle of my shop, but planning on building a homemade to put over the sanders. My plan was to reuse the 4" filters from my house after cleaning them. Figured they would be seasoned that way. After seeing Larry's system I think I will put four on a square enclosure.
When working I had more money than time. In retirement I have more time than money. Love the time, miss the money.

I'm mounting a surplus hvac unit in my shop, overhead near the 12' ceiling, and I'm thinking that multiple large filters would help proect the a-coil and could also be operated on fan only for dust filtering. Anybody ever do that?
My shop is well insulated, but still gets too hot to work in.
