Real name Steve but that name was taken on the forum. Used Middle name. Call me Steve or Scott, doesn't matter.
Just a little background. I've always been into music and in the last year started goofing around with restoring vintage (40+ YO) turntables. They're pretty clever in both that they are deceivingly simple and yet pretty complex. My experience is only with the German ones I'm collecting. Some parts are hard to come by, so I'm messing around with fabricating replacement pieces that are 3D printed. I like the nostalgia and it is fun to buy old records for a dollar with music that is not available on any other format.

I have an old Dual very similar to that one. Must be buried somewhere. Also have a ADC that had the spindle that came up to meet the record go it didn't fall to the platter. Always worked but got it out awhile back and now it's dead. Won't power up at all. Was a neat machine. Even had a remote control, ahead of its time.
