    Pub Table

Here is the pub height table I recently completed for our rec room. It is made from 1 1/4" quarter sawn white oak with mortise/tenon joinery secured with dowels. The wide base along with the mass make it very stable if some of our larger guests lean against it.

Mighty nice, Frederick. I could enjoy some suds whilst leaning a bit

Nice design and execution. The bevels on the top give the table a crisp look. What is the finish? How tall is a pub table anyway?

I did the bevel because I am not a fan of round over profile. I used a low angle jack plane because I always seem to get burn marks when I use a router on end grain.

I used a oil based stain that our contracting used on the trim when building our house. I put a polyurethane finish over the top of that (three on the legs and six on the top) to stand up to spills, condensation, etc...

Pub height tables usually range from 39"-42" in height.
