New arrival in the mail today

Wasn't cheap, though. Almost the most I have ever spent on a block plane.

Millers Falls No. 56B, according to the stamp on the side. Low angle, adjustable mouth

Of course, the blade came upside down, and needed a bit of stone work. Maybe 10 minutes to hone up.

It had a small burr on the toe, right on the corner. Didn't take much to lap it out.

Oh yeah....a small package also came in the mail

That be the right hand nicker for my Stanley No. 39, 3/8" Dado plane. Installed, and working nicely. Not too bad a day...

I THINK it is the same as a Stanley No. 60-1/2

Low angle, and has an adjustable mouth. Mainly a direct copy of Stanley's model. Almost full length left on the iron, too. Will be working alongside the #1455 non-adjustable mouth low angle block plane I currently have.

Not sure ( will look up later) WHEN they added the "B" to the number on these.....
