    I wouldn't touch the meter box.

    I'm puzzled about how the courtesy box helps you. If you are tying that to your circuit outside, don't you have to go back into the wall somehow anyway? If that's the case, I'd just go up thru the ceiling and leave the CB for something that truly just needs local power.

    If you want it to be done neatly (and you seem thorough and careful) I would just do the drywall surgery. It's a good skill to have and while it's a bunch of steps, none is hard or takes that long.

    Putting in a new circuit is relatively easy just BE CAREFUL>>>>I suggest do all your wiring boxes, switches etc before you tie in (connect) to the main box...keeps you safe.
