Founding (or very long term) members - check in.

I've noticed that there's a plethora of members here with a join date of 2003.
Of all the online forums I belong to, I believe this one is unique in that respect.

People tend to drift in and out and before you know it, the whole board has turned over and there's only a couple of "old timers" left.

I'm curious how many here go back to the beginning - or very close to it?

LOL! I'm interested for one thing because I was more or less just asked to leave a forum that I joined in 1998 the day it started and was the only one left still posting. The whole forum had changed so much it wasn't even close to what the original had been.

2003 is when the Creek went live. I was part of Badger Pond back in the day and was talking with Wayne Miller about taking over Badger Pond but I simply couldn't muster up the money. Instead, Keith took it over at Hampton Roads Online and we all decided to call it Sawmill Creek. Some of us have been around since just before "the creek" started flowing.

I too joined after Badger Pond went dry. It was February 2003. As you can see from my number of posts, I'm not exactly prolific in spite of being a moderator.

I waited until March 2003 when Badger Pond was shutting down.

Came over when it opened after Badger Pond closed. I'm an occasional poster but a daily reader.

I never participated in or knew about The Badger Pond until AFTER I joined SMC.

We're still chugging along here.... Joined date, upper right.

I joined in 2005, about the same time I started woodworking. This site has been and still is a great resource to learn.

I am another Badger Pond refugee. I joined 2/11/03 and was number 26 to come through Keith's door.

March 04 here but I believe I lurked for a bit prior to that. Seems like a Loooong time ago.
The significant problems we encounter cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them.
