    Powermatic 3520A price advise

A friend has a Powermatic 3520A lathe and is looking to sell it. It needs to be cleaned up a little but runs good. It's a 2005 model I think. Wondering what its worth? He is firm on 2k. Comes with 1 chuck. It's not digital but it is extreamly heavy. Is it worth 2k ??

Yes, it's worth it. About the only thing the latest model has is the digital readout.

I have an A model and don't feel the need for the digital readout. I follow the Bill Grumbine approach to speed management. "If the lathe is not shaking and you're not shaking, the speed is good."

2k is half the current list price of a 3520B, and looks like a bargain to me.
    Regards,
    Dick
