    Kent, Looks like it has some possibilities. I also picked up a piece of 6" aluminum flex duct at HD as Bill suggested. This stuff is pretty rigid and I think will work also. Thanks.

    Yikes, over $32/ft for 6" PVC semi-rigid duct, $820 for 25' minimum length.

    Looks like the stuff I picked up yesterday. Haven't run it to the lathe yet but I think it will work. Of course I will have one open end and I think it will need some kind of support.

    I use a HVAC register boot with regular 6" flex. I have some rare earth magnets epoxied to the register boot so I can just stick it to the lathe bed where ever I need it to be.

    Pics for reference. The magnets allow it to be placed in about any position you need. It's actually just wedged behind the bed in these pics but you get the idea.
