    My thinnest plate to date!!

Cherry core out from friend's big bowls. 8" diameter,x 3/4" high x 2mm thick at edge. It was so thin, that the edge would not allow me to get a finish cut going normal direction. I had to reverse direction, and use Easy Wood Finisher on far side to get rid of the chatter marks.

I used Friction polish for the finish. Not too impressive a gloss.

Very nice. Well centered. Be careful, the hat going thinner can be addicting?

I was just trying to salvage a piece of free wood. No matter how many times I cut it, it just kept getting smaller and thinner. It started out as a blank 9" diameter x 1.25" thick.
