How much is a reasonable price to pay for kiln drying near atlanta?

Just bought some black walnut, which is raw and may have bugs. What do you thin a reasonable price for kiln drying would be? Any idea who to call near Atlanta?

I'm not sure who you can call but I would charge $25 day to run my Nyle L53. Depending on the amount of lumber, there can be a fair amount of labor stickering the boards.

I use to pay about .25$ a bdft for kiln drying at the sawmill I took my lumber.

Drying price varies - probably anywhere from .16 to .75 bd ft, depending upon the amount, species, thickness, and MC%.

Someone bringing me 4000 bd ft of stickered 4/4 material that has been air dried down to 15% MC and only needs finishing off will probably pay .16 - .20 per bd ft.

One the other hand, someone bringing me 100 bd ft of 8/4 green oak will be paying a lot more.

    It all depends....

  6. Hey fellas, I am also looking for a kiln in Atlanta. I have about 100 bf of cherry that needs to be finished off (15% MC or so). Does anyone have any contacts?
