a pre cat lacquer or catalyzed conversion varnish?
Thanks

Making sawdust regularly, occasionally a project is completed.
I would use catalyzed conversion varnish.

Finishing is an 'Art & a Science'. Actually, it is a process. You must understand the properties and tendencies of the finish you are using. You must know the proper steps and techniques, then you must execute them properly.
Thanks for the reply Scott. This will be a purchased table (don't have the time and I cannot spray anyway) and the finish choices are from two different places. My thought was that the conversion varnish is the best finish, at least for this purpose.
