    Complete Shop Liquidation Soon

    Greetings & Salutations,

It has been a very long time since I have been able to post here on the Creek.

Almost 2 years ago I was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myloid Leukemia) and spent almost
100 days in and out of the hospital in a 4 month period along with then receiving
a stem cell transplant which has had a very positive result as far as my health is concerned.

The down side is that because of my age, health, treatments, and physical condition I am
not allowed to do what I really love to do and that is work in the shop.

I have enjoyed my hobby for many years and also enjoyed the membership
here on Sawmillcreek which I will continue.

Thank everyone for all of the good times over the years as well as much
informative advice from time to time.

And to think it only took me 2 weeks 26 hours and 43 minutes to get that top flat.

    Gene,

So sorry to hear about your situation. Please stay a member of the Creek - you may not be able to make sawdust yourself but you can help others online.

Gene sorry to hear about your health. It's a noble thing you are doing. My mom and I had to do this with my dads shop a year ago. He was still living but not healthy enough to even come out. Then I helped a friends mom go through her deceased husband's shop and we've been selling the equipment. Now a single friend of mine passed away and his shop has to be liquidated.

    Greetings & Salutations,

Thanks for the comments and I appreciate the well wishes.
the last thing I want is for my wife to have to struggle with
deciding what to do with the shop and as much as I hate doing this
it is something I know has to be done.

I will remain a member here for as long as I can for sure it has
been a great source of inspiration for me over the years,

    Gene
