So I bought a saw from Craigslist.

So I bought a Powermatic Artisian saw with a biesmeier ( sp?) fence , 1 1/2 hp motor and a mobile base . The saw is about 20 years old . It seems to be in good shape, paid $250 for it, I'm think it was a good buy and I'm happy so far.

As I recall that was a well regarded contractors saw. I think you did good. You'll love that Biesemeyer fence.

You did really good. I've seen those saws listed for 2-3 times that. You bought a fence and got a saw free!

I had to take it apart to fit in my suv. It's at the house I'm moving to soon, pictures as soon as I get it together.

If it's in nice shape, $250 is a great buy....especially if it has solid cast wings. You're on the cusp....it could be a US made PM63 or a Taiwanese made PM64. Either way, with the Biese fence, good alignment, and a decent blade, you should have yourself a nice saw. Congrats.....and post some pics!

I wouldn't take triple that for my older model 62.
