    4" lens ???

I cut a lot of cast acrylic... Would a 4" lens be beneficial for me as far as cut quality or speed at all ?

The spot size will increase quite a bit with the 4" lens so power density will go down. I have doubts that a 4" lens would be beneficial for acrylic. The only thing I use my 4" lens for is cutting 1" thick open-cell urethane foam. It has a larger depth of field for thick materials.

I have a four inch lens but to be honest, it does cut fine, but it doesn't engrave cast with the same crisp quality. As for the quality of cut on thicker materials it is supposed to be better but I'll be blowed if I noticed a difference. Save your money unless you want to reach an area like the bottom of a cup!
