I am considering purchasing a palm belt sander.
I found that my choice is a Triton TCMBS or Porter Cable 371, unless there are others.
Does anyone have any experience with these, or recommendations?

I've got the Porter Cable 371. It's just like a big belt sander only little. I tend to use a random orbit much more often than a belt sander. If I was in framing or rough-in work, I may use the little belt sander more. But, as far as the machine goes, I've had one for about 5 years and it's been a good sander - no issues, no complaints.

I use the Porter Cable for "trimming" horses feet. I don't remember ever using it on wood. I don't think I've used a belt sander on wood since the '80s.
I have the PC and for jobs like scribing built in cabinets I love it. It is slightly underpowered and tends to run hot when used at its limit but I would buy another one if it died.
If you're near by you are welcome to stop by and give it a hands on try.
