    yep...

They seem to bring tools out in time for Father's Day.......

Last year, mine cost about...$7 for a set of 4......

The price is still $6.99. Made in China, imported by Aldi. After seeing this thread, I went out and picked up a set. The sizes are 8 mm (0.31 in), 13 mm (0.51 in), 18 mm (0.71 in) and 24 mm (0.94 in). The package says they are made of chrome vanadium. I took out the largest one, flattened the back (it had slight hollow, so that went pretty quickly), sharpened it and took it to some pine. It went through the pine like, well, a sharp chisel through pine. These won't be my "go to" chisels, but it looks like they will be a usable set of spares/backups (not that I really need "backup" chisels!).

The blades are flat in profile, and thin, so they can be handy to get into tight places like narrow spaces between dovetails. They are not chisels you can wail on, for the same reason.

I went and bought two sets of these, I put a ~ 22* bevel on one set, and ~35* on the other set. The low angle ones slice through pine end grain with zero crushing.

And the back were slightly concave, as Warren said, each set took just over two minutes on my diamond plate, under five minutes for 8 chisels.

The handles are big and comfortable, and ugly, but if you felt like modifying them there's plenty of material there to play with. $14, hard to beat.

This year they've added a package of 4 ratchet clamps - two 12" and 2 6" for $5. They look pretty solid.

Forgot to mention they once again have a real good 33' tape for $4.

Every Father's Day, Aldis seems to stock a bunch of tools. When that stash is sold out...see ya next year....

Been using the set I got last year ever since.

I've been hearing about these for over a year now and think I'd like to try some.

I haven't been able to find them online would anyone have a good link?

Barring that, if there is anyone near an Aldi's that could help me out, let me know.

Picked up a set and have been using them for a couple of days. I was surprised at how well they work and how well they seem to hold an edge. I tuned them up per Paul Sellers video, or as close as I could get with what I have on hand.

i don't think are made in China. Supposedly Germany.

I noticed some guy is now selling them on flea bay for about $30 a set.
