    Sliding Easels

A guy that I've made quite a few things for asked me to design a set of sliding easels to display posters on and to cover his rarely watched TV. His house is MCM and he is a fan of that style, too. Here is what I built.

The easels slide on a dovetailed track at the top, screwed to the wall, and slide along the front of the lower rail. The posters are captured at the top by a bracket that slides up and down in the frame.

I did this about 3 years ago. He has been very pleased with it.

You know, that's actually kind of a cool idea. Nice work! It looks great and the sliding dovetail was perfect for this. Would you mind if I hang on to your photos and possibly steal a couple of ideas from them?

Thanks all. Stew, by all means. You may use the photos and any ideas you see in them as you choose. Thanks for asking. I appreciate it. If you have any questions regarding details of the sliding dovetail just ask.
