Windows 7 or what really not enough details? Does your computer recognize the USB device?

    Hi Bill,

Sorry its running win xp as i thought this would be safer to get get it going again.
The controller is picked up by the machine and the drivers are installed for it.
Hope this helps and thanks for your response.

So was your old computer also XP and are you using the same drivers? Can you go to your control panel and under devices see your Engraver on a USB port? Sometimes removing the device, deleting the drivers and then re-installing on a different USB port works. Other than that I think contacting the manufacture might be next.

To add to what Bill said, just try plugging the USB cable into a different USB plug on the computer. My Triumph will only output thru COM3, which is one particular port on the back of the machine. No other USB plugs will work--

    Will this help??

Most of the hard work was done, thecontroller worked and so did Engravelab 9
they just didn't like each other.
The automatic setup had put the wrongdestination folder for the plot file
and because the auto setup only got tostep 4 of 7 the controller didn't know
where to find the folder that theengraving file was sent to.
So I matched the 2 up and away it went.
I'm not sure it's perfect yet though aswhen the job has run and you send a new
file through, the previous file usuallydeletes, but i'm finding it is not.
But it's no issue, just a matter ofdeleting the used files at the end of the day.
Now I will clone the hard drive so I amhopefully issue free for a few more years.
