What browser are you using? I've occasionally had trouble with Chrome but I could access the site with IE.

Hi Mike,
I'm using Firefox. I've been using it for as long as I've been here and never had this problem.
I just noticed when I clicked on the link in the email I received, giving an update on this thread, I got right in. But when I closed this page and reopened SMC, I was asked to log in and when I did I got the Invalid Redirect message again.

I have the same problem tonight. I'm using Firefox 38.0.5.
When I select "Forum" from the "invalid redirect" page, I get to the forum and find that I'm successfully logged-on.
Tonight, Firefox didn't remember my password automatically. Has something changed so that the forum login page would appear to be different page that it was?
I am on Waterfox and have no problems at all. I do have a slightly different address though. Try this: http://www.sawmillcreek.org/forum.php

I'm using IE and haven't been having any problems.

So much to learn, so little time.....
+1 on Chrome
I don't understand what you mean by "Try this".
My bookmark for sawmillcreek is "http://sawmillcreek.org/" and when I click it, I'm set to http://sawmillcreek.org/index.php. Should I change the URL in my bookmark to something else?
Stephen, I know the addresses should be the same but I have come across differences when using the www in the url address - as I have listed. All I am suggesting is to add the www and see if it makes a difference for you.

I use Firefox 48.0.2 and it works fine here.
When I type http://www.sawmillcreek.org it switches to http://www.sawmillcreek.org/index.php and all looks fine. If I then click "Forum" it switches to .../forum.php and still works. If I type http://www.sawmillcreek.org/forum.php all works fine.
First thing I would try is close Firefox, reboot, and retry. If you know how, look at the processes, memory, and services in Taskmanager (i.e. disable anything in Startup or services you don't need. This may require some research.) Then I would try a different computer with the same browser, if available, then a different browser. Then I would save the bookmarks and wipe Firefox and reload.
How are you logging in an posting now, from a different computer? Is that computer going through the same path of connections/internet provider as the problem machine? If another computer using the same connection has the same problem, I would investigate an issue with the internet provider.
If the error is associated only with logging in and always with logging in regardless of the platform or connection, I'm imagining a possible forum software issue.

When I came to the website just now, I was logged out. Instead of logging in and going through the redirect page, I just decided to browse as a visitor. I clicked a thread and I was logged in.

I don't have the problem on my laptop, but on our PC I often get to SMC and find that I am not logged in. When I log in I get the invalid indirect screen like this: Capture.PNG
Both the laptop and PC are running windows 10 and Firefox 48.0.2. I tell Firefox to remember me. However, when I checked the properties of the SMC bookmark on my laptop for location it had "http://www.sawmillcreek.org/forum.php" The PC on the other hand had this as the location for the SMC bookmark:
Check the properties of your bookmark to SMC. and change it to "http://www.sawmillcreek.org/forum.php"
