    Machine identification help

Can anyone identify this machine manufacturer, and make/model, if possible?

Looks like a larger version of those vintage open-ended craftsmen surface planers.

That's possible- definitely has similar shape characteristics- something for me to go off of anyway. Was wondering if it was a planer or a drum sander... assuming one or the other.

Google “swing arm clicker press” and I believe you’ll find your answer.

I'll chalk that up as a learning for the day.

I just saw the Sears, by king sealy, version at Habitat. I think it was only 6-8 inches of cut. It might make a nice start to a drum sander.
