I'm building a clock for a friend and a few to sell. Where should I get the clock parts from? I've bought from Hobby Lobby and they stink. I'm really not sure what brand or where to buy. Please help me. Thanks, Terry

I have used www.klockit.com
Good luck!
Timesavers has an extensive selection of quartz and mechanical movements.

I have bought several movements and faces from Klockit and I have always been pleased.
Emperor is also another name that comes to mind...

Depending on what you are looking for, Lee Valley may have what you need.

How far from "not suck" do you want to go? At the high end of clock kits is Erwin Sattler:

I have use a few quartz movements from Hobby Lobby and Klockit, and there are others out there, in my experience they are all pretty similar, I'm not sure there are any really "high end" quartz movements out there for DIY. If any, probably Seiko, I see they sell some. Bought a Seiko quartz clock when I was in the Navy in Japan in 1975 for my parents, very cutting edge and expensive at the time. It has been running continuously and keeping accurate time now for over 40 years!
