I just sent $50 using the donate button. The Creek is a very special place and the members that flow between its banks are very special too. Thanks to Keith, Jackie and Aaron and to all the members for making this place we call Saw Mill Creek so Great. I retire in 115 days and I look forward to being a member of this forum for a long time to come.

Thanks for the priveledge of being able to help, albeit in a small way. I have greatly injoyed my stay at the Creek, and although I dont post much or am not able to answer to many questions, I injoy lurking here emensly. I'm with whoever suggested the spellcheck feature! I kicked in $25.00 and am all for a yearly subscription. I wih I could personally shake the hands of all Creekers involved in this effort!

I'm in as well ! Sent my "donation/subscription". This site has been an inspiration to me ! I look at it at least 6 or 8 times per day. What a great bunch of "friends" I have made here.

Scott: Somebody posted here maybe two years ago how to download a spell checker that works on you computer whatever you're doing. I did download it but that was on an old computer. Somebody may see this and clue us in. Or maybe a search would turn it up.

Okay, $5 per year, but Keith didn't say how many years! 2 for me, thanks.

John Bailey, I think maybe you should be in charge of an annual fund drive! Perhaps we could also see some suggestions on how the overages might be used--server upgrades, some admin compensation (Aaron's obviously worth it), future connection upgrades, etc.

There is an equivalent plug-in for FireFox and other browsers...works great with SMC.

If we keep on donating we may end up with enough to fund an endowment to keep this place going in perpetuity. Wouldn't that be a nice gift to our grandchildren.

Thanks to everyone, the Ottens, the moderators, Aaron et al, but especially the members who have made this such a fantastic place that we all care enough to keep it going. Kudos to all.

    Good morning all

I just got done reading the entire thread. I'm one of those who remembers all the way back to Compuserve, and the migrations we made from place to place as we got kicked out. Then Wayne put together Badger Pond. Now we have SMC, and I think it is even better. I don't want to see it go away anymore than anyone else. I will be hitting the donate button myself as soon as I hit post on this one. I am glad to see all the support for keeping this place going.
