    Small Maple Burl

I found this burl while out walking the dog recently and decided to bring it home. I liked the way I could include the branch of the tree in the turning as well as the burl. Since the burl had grown into the branch on one side but not on the other I put a lot of CA glue into it before I started turning. It seems to have worked because the branch is firmly in place. Anyway, I was happy with the way it turned out and thought I'd post it. It's about 5.5" high by 6" across.

    Barry,
Good job keeping it in one piece. there is a lot of color variations in this burl and the shape is nice.

Nice work. I turn a lot of burl and use both CA and Epoxy glue. It works out well.
    Thank you,
