    Wow, that's beautiful wood. The shape looks nice as it sits, I'd love to see it after you take her off too. Are you going to leave the voids or fill them? Is mesquite a wood with a lot of voids? It seems I often see mesquite filled with some form of crushed stone. The contrast always looks nice with this wood.

    I'll leave it as is. I've finished it with walnut oil and letting it cure a couple of weeks before I buff it. Hard to find large trees that don't have voids and insect damage in the sap wood.

    Great Piece of Wood!!!... I'm glad to hear you are going to leave it as is... I'm not a fan of filling voids with stone or glitter... great piece....well done.
